From the supplier: Authorware Professional, a multimedia program development software from Authorware Inc of Minneapolis, provides the foundation for a promising management education venture in the Soviet Union. The program was introduced at the Moscow Institute of Management in 1989 by Prof Art Hill of the Univ of Minnesota's School of Management. As part of a technology transfer project underwritten by the William C Norris Foundation, a joint venture known as the Soviet American Management Institute (SAMAN) is now adapting modules for computer-based management and technology courses based on US models. SAMAN is now equipped with a Novell network consisting of eight IBM PC/AT machines and an Apple Macintosh II. American participants are impressed with the skill and creativity of Soviet management students at the institute.
